The Files area in Quercus has been redesigned to make managing course materials simpler, more accessible, and more secure.
Key Improvements #
1. Cleaner, more accessible design
- Updated interface meets VPAT accessibility standards.
- Simplified layout for easier navigation and readability.
2. Streamlined navigation
- A new landing page replaces the old folder tree view for faster, more intuitive browsing.
3. Enhanced file management tools
- Improved search and the ability to sort by column headers.
- Bulk actions using checkboxes to select multiple files for Download, Delete, Move, or Edit Permissions.
4. Stronger content protection
- Preview links can no longer be accessed outside Quercus, helping protect course content.
Transition Options #
Through the end of 2025, you can still return to the previous Files interface.
Select “Switch to Old Files Page” at the top of the new Files screen.
